Pirate Crew London have been seen all over the Southbank this week working inside and out on various projects for many valued Clients.
AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE
Our continued relationship with the National Theatre goes from strength to strength, with them relying on Pirate Crew London to supplement their technical staff for many builds, get outs and changeovers. This week we have provided a full team to install the first part of their annual River Stage Festival 2018.
Pirates on Wednesday have installed the most important part – which is the Bar of course! A Sea container arrived and was then timber clad in scenery, all in front of the National Theatre and also under gazing eyes of the public, who were busy enjoying the sights and of course the fine weather.
AT THE SOUTHBANK CENTRE
Our new relationship with the Southbank Centre is flourishing as they realise that we are a true provider of skilled technicians and that can really help to deliver their new and ambitious diary of artistic shows.
The Pirates have helped the in house team by providing Stage Crew and Lighting Technicians in the newly reopened Queen Elizabeth Hall for a dance piece, The Troth. This show played for one day only which meant as usual, an early start and a late finish for the team. But all accomplished with a smile and sense of humour, our crew absolutely loving what they do.
AT THE TATE MODERN
It has been a long time of planning but the Jordan Wolfson commission has finally landed at the Tate Modern. The Tate team has once again engaged us with providing 5 skilled technicians from our London Crew until September for operating & maintaining the technical equipment involved in this piece.
The Pirate technicians have undergone bespoke technical training for the past two weeks and are now relishing the challenge of maintaining the high technical and exacting standards of American installation company, KillStress.
